Flood impact assesment
We offer automated postprocessing for simulation results. Get one of the following outputs out of the box after every simulation:
- flood hazard rating
- damage estimations
- arrival time maps
- waterdepths maps over time in GTiff format
These results are disseminated through the web using WMS, or downloadable as GTiff or accessible via our API
Dam Break / Levee Failure
3Di has the built in option of adding breach locations to a levee. In case of a dam break or levee failure, the breach is set to ‘open’. The breach will widen and deepen based on the verheij / van der knaap formula.
Flood Barriers
Investigate and discuss the impact of prevention and mitigation measures such as placing flood barriers using the live site. An example of this in the video on the right.
Flood barriers are temporary obstacles in a schematisation, and stop the water up to a certain water level.
Use the live site for calamity situations, or the Modeller Interface to generate scenario’s and asses the impact and effectiveness.
